(Women power in my family: my daughter Tricia Gosingtian and my wife Chiqui Escareal-Go)
March is International Women’s month, and as part of the celebration, this blog will exclusively feature Filipino women achievers who have made their mark in their chosen fields. I pursued this suggestion from Chiqui Escareal-Go when we were on a train from Munich, Germany to Salzburg, Austria last December 2015. Chiqui is an active officer of the Women’s Business Council Philippines (WomenBizPh) while continuing to be President and CEO of the Mansmith and Fielders Training Group. She has also worked with other women’s groups particularly micro enterprises as part of her personal focus on women empowerment.
Together with our daughter, blogger Tricia Gosingtian, they recommended names of outstanding women whom I will be featuring this March 2016:
Women Entrepreneurs:
Dr San San Hortaleza (Chair of HBC)
Penk Ching (Co-owner of Pastry Bin)
Issa Baron (Managing Director of Good Thinking Research)
Denise Aquino (Owner of Tokyo Posh)
Women Executives:
Teresita Herbosa (Chair of SEC)
Melisa Quijano (President of Asia Pacific of Nu Skin)
Grace Magno (Vice President of SM)
Monique Buensalido (Digital Director of Buensalido PR)
I believe in equality of men and women (although sometimes I complain there is no equality in my house because the women get followed most of the time).
