A Decade of Insights: From Blog to Book, and Beyond

As I commemorate the 10th anniversary of my blog on May 9, 2024, I’m reminded of the journey that has taken me from digital reflections to tangible contributions in the form of books and frameworks. What began as a simple platform for sharing thoughts and experiences has evolved into a comprehensive repository of knowledge, culminating in the creation of the book ‘The Rainmakers’ and the development of the ‘5 Skills of Master Strategists’ framework, among others, as suggested by my eldest son, Chase.

“The Rainmakers” represents the culmination of years of observation, analysis, and reflection on the art and science of marketing and strategy. Through this book, I sought to distill the lessons learned from industry luminaries and personal experiences into a comprehensive guide for aspiring rainmakers — individuals who possess the vision, drive, and skill to make a lasting impact in their respective fields.

Building upon the foundation laid by ‘The Rainmakers,’ I embarked on a journey to codify the essential skills of master strategists. The result was the development of the ‘5 Skills of Master Strategists’ framework, which serves as a roadmap for individuals seeking to elevate their strategic thinking and execution capabilities. From sensemaking and innovating to influencing and executing, with discovery bridging everything else, these skills form the bedrock of effective leadership and decision-making in today’s dynamic business landscape.

But my mission extends beyond the confines of written word. It’s about empowering individuals to unlock their full potential and make meaningful contributions to their organizations and society at large. Whether through keynote speeches, workshops, or mentorship programs, I am committed to sharing these insights and frameworks with the next generation of leaders. In fact, the ‘5 Skills of Master Strategists’ framework has expanded its reach and significance—it’s now even the theme of the 15th Mansmith Market Masters Conference  scheduled for May 8, 2024 (www.marketmastersconference.com)
