As I look back on ten years of blogging, it’s more than just the posts I’ve written or the audience I’ve built—it’s about the people and moments that have shaped the journey. And if I’m to be honest, the spark for this adventure came from someone truly extraordinary: my only daughter, Tricia Gosingtian. Tricia, a trailblazer in the blogosphere and a true OG in lifestyle and DeviantArt blogging, taught me the power of storytelling and influence long before the term “influencer” was even a thing.
I vividly remember volunteering to be her business adviser early on, helping her navigate the delicate balance between brand partnerships and staying true to her voice. It was an eye-opening experience, exposing me to the growing intersection of social media, business, and personal branding.
Through this role, I saw how brands and influencers interacted—some relationships were transactional, while others, like Tricia’s, were built on trust and genuine connection. Tricia’s success allowed her the luxury of semi-retirement years before the age of 30, as she focused on her family and other passions.
A key turning point in my blogging journey came when my eldest son, Chase Gosingtian, encouraged me to broaden my reach beyond the established industry circles I’d been interacting with. He suggested I tap into my ecosystem to benefit younger readers who, unlike those in the business and marketing world, didn’t have direct access to influential leaders or industry insights. This idea resonated deeply with me, and it became my mission to provide valuable knowledge and inspiration to the next generation. Through this blog, I’ve had the privilege of sharing interviews with top entrepreneurs, marketers, innovators, and even public servants—many of whom have shaped the way business is done today.
As I continue my own blogging journey, I find myself constantly inspired by Tricia’s fearless authenticity and the ever-evolving world she helped open up. For my 10th year, I want to celebrate the voices and stories that have resonated most with you, my readers. Below, I’ve curated the number one most-read Q&A from each year of my blog, tracing a path of growth, learning, and deepened understanding of the space where content, commerce, and community collide. These interviews, insights, and conversations have not only shaped my work but have also been a mirror to the changing landscape of blogging, branding, and the ever-increasing importance of authentic influence.
Here’s to ten years of growth, learning, and continued exploration in the ever-changing world of blogging.
